Is an ABSCATZ kitten in your future?

Imagine a fluffy bundle of fur with tufted ears and a playful spirit - could an Abscatz  Maine Coon kitten be the newest member of your family waiting to be discovered?  Not sure how to begin the process? Here is what you should know about obtaining a kitten from us. 

All of our kittens will receive age-appropriate core vaccinations before they leave our cattery at roughly 12 - 14 weeks of age.  Each litter will be examined by our veterinarian and fecal testing and/or deworming (as necessary) is performed.  Kittens also receive a microchip implant. 

Kittens are placed with new families pursuant to a written contract. Our contract requires that kittens never be declawed; that they be kept as indoor only members of your family and never be bred. Our contract requires that kittens are spayed/neutered no later than 8 months of age. Once you provide us with a copy of the spay/neuter certificate from your veterinarian we will register the kitten with TICA and send you the registration form.  Our contract includes a health guarantee.  

New families are required to have their kitten seen by a veterinarian within 72 hours of bringing the kitten home. Families are also responsible for the third FVRCP booster and a rabies shot at approximately 16 weeks of age. 

If you are interested in applying for a kitten, kindly contact us at amy@abscatz.com and request a buyer's  application.  Once your application is reviewed and approved, we will notify you about which kitten(s) are available. After you have made your selection, we will forward you a contract to sign and return to us with the required deposit.  

Because our cattery is maintained in our home, we do not offer walk-in visitation. We will, however, work with families who have selected a kitten to come and meet the kitten in person.
